Personal Childhood Web

 My Personal Childhood WEB

One person that I can recall from my childhood is my grandfather.  My mom was a single mom, so her dad was like our dad too.  I have so much to thank to my grandfather for the man, husband and father I am today.  He was always there for me no matter what.  If I made a mistake he never made it seem like it was one, but he would help me learn from it and see it in a distinct perspective.  My grandfather also supported my education in every way.  I truly cherish every moment I spent with him as a child.

One other person that was part of my childhood web was my uncle.  He too was always there for me as a child.  I remember enjoying going outside and play with him soccer.  He was very supportive with my education and would help me with my homework’s.  I remember coming from school and he would say let’s get your homework done so we can go out and play.  If it wasn’t for him I think school would have been more a of challenge for me, but he knew how to explain those math problems.

The other person that I can surely say that she is part of my childhood web is my grandmother.  I remember her waking me up in the morning and having breakfast ready for me.  She was always so gentle and kind and would tell me that I had to fuel my tummy with food, so I could learn better at school.   When I came back from school the snacks she made were the best and she always made sure I was well fed.  My grandmother knew how to sew so she made many of my pants and shirts to go to school.  I have so much to thank her for always taking care of me.

The fourth person I could add to my childhood web is my sister.  Although she was one year younger she was always more mature.  We both attended the same school and she always made sure I didn’t get in trouble in school.  She and I grew very close because it was just the both of us.  She would also enjoy playing soccer with me and my uncle, so those memories will forever be kept.

The final and most important person in my childhood web is my mother.  She was a single mom raising two kids all by herself.  She gave us the best private education possible and never hesitated to place us in a public school.  I used to love hearing my mom voice every night while she read story books before bed.  If it wasn’t for my mom support I would have never completed my education.

  1. Miguel,
What a beautiful story and family you have. It seems that the two people that had influenced you the most was your sister and your mother. I love reading these childhood webs and seeing how one parent started the foundation of learning at such a young age. My mother came to the United States when she was 18 and 10 years later she had me but still did not know how to read in English or understand much math herself. At a young age, although my mother was a big impact on my early childhood learning it was more of me teaching her. Take a look at my blog and you can see how she influenced me to be the person I am today.
